Dawn joined Pantana in November 2009 after relocating back to metro Atlanta from Indianapolis. She graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and became an IRS Enrolled Agent in 2013. With more than 20 years of accounting experience, Dawn is also a Certified Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor and specializes in bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, and individual and business tax preparation.

Outside the office, Dawn enjoys time with her husband and family, including her two sons and her daughter-in-law, and she’s excited to be a first-time grandmother. She’s also a proud dog mom to six rescue dogs: an Australian Shepherd, a Doberman, two Siberian Huskies, and two Pit Bulls. She may seem quiet when you first meet her, but ask about her dogs and she can talk for hours. Animals hold a special place in her heart, especially rescue dogs and sea turtles.

What song do you sing along with in the car? I love 80s and 90s rock, along with today’s country. One minute I’m singing with Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, or Madonna, and the next I’m singing along to Jason Aldean or Celine Dion. If I know the words, I’m probably singing!

How would you spend a free afternoon? With six rescue dogs, a quiet afternoon is a rare treat! I’d love to spend it relaxing with my husband, enjoying some sunshine, and hanging out with our dogs. Of course, the dogs usually have their own plans for how we’ll spend the day!

What’s a book, movie, or TV show you enjoyed recently? I love a good crime show! NCIS and Castle are favorites in our house. We also enjoy watching comedians because sometimes there’s nothing better than a good laugh!
